How to Apply Same Image on Start Screen and Desktop of Windows 8.1
The users will be amazed to know another amazing feature of Windows 8.1 that is they can apply the same image on the desktop and Start screen in their Windows 8.1. It is a pleasant addition Microsoft has given to the users because its previous version Windows 8, there were not many options for its customization. In Windows 8.1 you are free to move its tiles to manage groups of your choice, to resize tiles and even to turn off the live tiles on the Start Screen. You can apply the background of the desktop to the Start Screen too.
Methods to get same background for Windows 8.1 start screen and desktop
There are two methods you can use for this purpose.
Method 1
Step 1: Right click on the taskbar where you will find an option “Properties”. Click this option to move ahead.
Step 2: Now a window “Taskbar and Navigation Properties” will appear before you. Where you need to click the tab “Navigation”. In this tab there will be an option with a check box “Show my desktop background on Start”. You need to check this option and then click “Apply” to apply these settings.
Method 2
Step 1: Go to the Start Screen where you need to move the cursor of your mouse to the very right corner to the bottom of your screen where you will see a “-” sign. Once the pointer of your mouse touches this sign, the Charms bar will appear where you have to click “Settings” that appears at the end of the bar.
Step 2: Now you will see another menu appearing to the right side of your screen where you have to click the option “Personalize” as it has been shown in the image below.
Step 3: Now the “Personalize” menu will be before you where you have to select the last box at the bottom on the right side. It is the desktop image and will be applied to your Start screen too.
Now go to the Start Screen and notice the change. It will be so pleasant to see that you have successfully completed the process and changed the background on both of the Start screen and desktop easily.
