Libraries feature was initially introduced in Windows 7 that enables you to manage all of your files and folders in a proper way that are in scattering from across your system. You can edit the pre-existing libraries as well as you can create the new ones. It allows you to add more files and folders without using extra hard disk space. In Windows 8.1, the users will see only the default features in Windows Explorer folder like Favorites, This PC, SkyDrive, Network and Homegroup. Methods to Show Libraries in Windows Explorer of Windows 8.1

Method 1:

Step 1: You need to click on “File Explorer” icon that lies on the taskbar of your Windows 8.1 desktop.

Step 1: Click on the “File Explorer” that lies on the taskbar.  You can either use the above mentioned method for opening it or you can press Windows logo + E combination for opening it.

Step 2: You need to click the option “View” that appears in the File Explorer. It will show you different sub-options.
