How to Upgrade iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to iOS 7.1 [Guide]

Steps to Update your iDevice to iOS 7.1 [Jailbroken]
Step 1: Connect your iDevice (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch) with computer using USB cable.
Step 2: Open iTunes, or it’ll be open automatically if your iTunes is on autoplay.
Step 3: Click on your device’s icon, available on the top right of the iTunes’ screen.
Step 4: Now you’ll be able to see an option to “check for update”, click on it.
Step 5: iTunes will search for latest update for your device, which is iOS 7.1 and will show you an agreement screen and you are required to accept it to proceed.
Step 6: After accepting the agreement, your iOS 7.1 download will start. The downloading time of this update depends upon your internet connection’s speed.
Step 7: After completion of download, installation process of iOS 7.1 will be started automatically. Now you just need to wait for fifteen minutes and your device will be on iOS 7.1.

Non jailbroken devices are allowed to upgrade to iOS 7.1 without any difficulty. You are just required to go to Settings > General > Software Update. Your iDevice will start download and installation process automatically.
