How To Disable Startup Programs in Windows 8.1
Sometimes you need to disable some less important Start-up Programs because your system is running very slow and by activating these programs you would be able to enhance the speed of your system. Sometimes any application annoys you. Whenever you run your system, a pop-up appears before you that is disturbing. So, it is necessary in such situation to disable such Start-up Programs that are unnecessary for the time being. The users of Windows 8.1 are not well versed with the method of disabling the Start-up Programs. That’s why here you will find an easy way that can be used for disabling your desired programs in Start-up within a couple of minutes. So, let us start without wasting time.
Step 1: You need to right click on the taskbar. You will find the option of Task Manager in the menu that appears before you. Click on it. (There are many other ways of accessing Task Manager. You can also open it by using Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
Step 2: Once you have opened Task Manager, you need to click the button “More Details” that can be found at the bottom of the screen to the left side. It will show you all the options and tabs in Task Manager as it has been shown in the image below.
Step 3: Here you will find all the tabs and options where you need to switch to the tab named “Startup” that will show you different programs running on the start-up.
Step 4: You need to right click on your desired program that you do not need to run for most of the time and you want to disable. After right click you will see the option “Disable” that needs to be selected to disable the program that is slowing down your PC.
In the above picture, you will see that some programs have low impact and some have high impact on start-up speed. So, it is recommended to disable the programs that have higher impact on the speed of start-up because it will make your PC running smoothly without being delayed. If you disable the programs that create low impact, it will not of much importance for you.
