Steps to Customize App Tiles on Start Screen of Windows 8.1
Step 1: You need to click the Start button that will take you to the Start Screen. Here you will find live tiles. You need to select a tile whose name you want to change. You just need to right-click the tile. You will see various options appear at the bottom of the screen. You need to select “Open file Location” from it.
Step 2: Now the “Windows Accessories” screen will appear before you where you need to right-click on the program and select the “Properties” option from the context menu.
Step 3: Once you are inside the “Paint Properties, you will need to click the tab “Shortcut” and click on the option “Change icon” that can be found at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Now you will be in “Change Icon” section where you will see the current icon and various other icons in your program. You can select an icon of your choice from the available list. If you want to customize it by using an icon of your choice such as a picture of your favorite thing, you need to click “Browse” and get your desired image. Then click “OK” to save changes.
Step 5: Now you can see the icon of your selected program has been changed and new icon appears in the start screen.
