As the users of Windows 8.1 know very well that the Start Screen of Windows 8.1 has large Live tiles where you can easily make groups of your desired tiles. You can drag them from here to there and pin your desired tiles. These tiles can be re-sized according to the requirements of the user.

Yet, the users will face a minor issue. They cannot find a way to change the icons and the names of these tiles easily. They do not have a trick or technique that could change the name of these icons or even change the icons of the tiles.

Steps to Customize App Tiles on Start Screen of Windows 8.1

Step 1: You need to click the Start button that will take you to the Start Screen. Here you will find live tiles. You need to select a tile whose name you want to change. You just need to right-click the tile. You will see various options appear at the bottom of the screen. You need to select “Open file Location” from it.

You can select an icon of your choice from the available list. If you want to customize it by using an icon of your choice such as a picture of your favorite thing, you need to click “Browse” and get your desired image. Then click “OK” to save changes.
