The auto brightness feature is greatly beneficial and it was initially introduced in Windows 8 that has been added to Windows 8.1 as well. Although it is an amazing feature for the users who do not want to do a manual setting in the display brightness. The system automatically updates the brightness of their display screen, but it has some shortcomings too. When you are using system and there is no proper light, you are not able to see in such darker condition. In fact, if you are using your system in a dark room or during night times, it would not be possible for you to see the contents properly.

The second problem is that your system keeps on varying the brightness of the display screen to match the enough light and it may be a bit frustrating for you. Luckily, you can turn this option off in Windows 8.1 easily. It does not need any third-party software. You just need to follow a few steps to do this task.
