Remove Pangu iOS 7.1/7.1.1/8x Jailbreak from iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Posted in Apple3 years ago

Download Latest iOS Firmware from Here.

For iPhone 4 Users, who don’t have support for iOS 8 and higher, will use the iOS 7.1.2 links.

Download time will depend upon your internet connection’s speed.

Step 2: Install the latest version of iTunes on your PC and connect your iOS device with PC via USB cable.

Step 3: Now open iTunes and also your iDevice’s panel available under iTunes. Take backup of your iDevice, all of your data will be saved in your PC.

Step 4: On the right side you’ll see the option to “Restore iPhone” Press SHIFT (ALT for Mac) and click on restore iPhone, select the IPSW file of the iOS firmware you have downloaded in step 1.

Restore iDevice [Shift + Left Click]

Step 5: After selection of iOS IPSW, again click on “Restore iPhone” and iTunes will ask you this “iTunes will erase and restore your iPhone to latest iOS version and will verify the restore with Apple”. Click on restore button available on this message’s window.

Step 6: After clicking restore, iTunes will start the process to restore latest iOS on your iDevice and during this process your iDevice will reboot several times and also will show status of your restoration process on its screen.

Restoring iPhone 4

After few minutes your idevice will be on brand new iOS without any Cydia icon, that means your iDevice will be ridden off pangu’s jailbreak.

Hi I’ve tried this, and I’ve also tried using the recovery ode but I’m always getting a message error that the restore is not possible.

    I’m using iphone 5 ios 7.1.2
    Any clues?

    • Hammad Rafique July 6, 2014 at 6:25 pm - Reply

I’m not in front of your PC, but I guess it’s jst because of something is missing during the whole process. Try to perform the below said things:

1: Carefully download iOS version supported for your iPhone 5. For iPhone 5 GSM this link: http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4773.20140627.undN4/iPhone5,1_7.1.2_11D257_Restore.ipsw and for iPhone 5 CDMA use this link: http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4798.20140627.fpeqS/iPhone5,2_7.1.2_11D257_Restore.ipsw

2: Only use the latest version of iTunes.

3: May be some system files are conflicting with th restoration process, try the same procedure on any other PC.

If you still face the error then let me know the exact error code and I’ll help you accordingly.

Ok so I jail broke my iphone 5s with the newest iOS7 (not 8 yet) with pangu. every time I tried to restore it, it said there was an error. I went into my phone and hit the delete all data and settings button and a spinning circle was on my screen for about 12 hours. i held down the home and off button and its in restore mode, and i keep getting the error when i hit restore on my windows laptop. HELPPP

Thank you for your reply. I only have a Mac. With the new Mavericks. Everything is up to date (iTunes and OS X). I’ve also tried in DFU mode, I have deleted all cydia tweaks I’ve added. I’ve tried using the Ipswich from yous links and from apple directly.

Really don’t know what to do. Maybe find someone with a PC but for instance I don’t know anyone.

Can you provide me the error code, if it’s showing on your iTunes?

      • Roberta July 7, 2014 at 4:26 am - Reply

The error is “This device isn’t eligible for the requested build”
But I got it finally! Thank you 🙂

You are supposed to edit your host file available in your Windows PC, you can do it via: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOo-ugveRT0 or with the use of proxy you can bypass the error 3004.

    • Hammad Rafique July 27, 2014 at 10:41 pm - Reply

Yes Yash Hastak you can simply install that firmware that’s popping up every time on your iTunes’ screen. It’s the latest version of iOS and iTunes will install it automatically if you allow iTunes to do so.

which one do i choose for step one and how can i find out and also can i still get rid of it if i did it with ios 7.1.2 already downloaded

    • Hammad Rafique July 27, 2014 at 10:50 pm - Reply

You can select the relevant iOS as per your concerned iDevice, download links are available for all iOS devices. If you already have the correct iOS 7.1.2 firmware then follow the restoration process from the step 2.

Hi, I did the iOS update to 7.1.2. Everything worked well, Cydia icon wasn’t there anymore and jailbreak app too.

But…When I retried to jailbreak with pangu, it says that my iPhone 4s was already jailbroken. What ?! But Cydia still not there. It is impossible to click on the jailbreak button anymore.

I recommend to anyone that removed Pangu to check with there iPhone if they get the same issue.

Do you know anything about this issue ?

    Thx

I had same problem talked about above. If you want to get rid of this sheet. before jailbreak do backup in iTunes.
When you have problem, go to factory setting in iTunes again like new ipad or iphone. later restore all data from iTunes.
Just I did it and saved my life

i jailbroke my device about 6 months ago and have scowered the blogasphere to figure out how to restore my device to its pre jailbreak condition and functionality and haven’t been able to find any assistance at all. I started posting requests over a month ago and have made at least 15 requests at as many different forums and haven’t received a single response.

I successfully jailbroke my divice, then accidently deleted cydia. This is a company owned divice, and has to be turned back in for mandantory security app upgrades and installations. I have been stalling to try to find a way to restore it. if they find i have jailbroken it it could mena my job. I have tried connecting it to itunes and doing the DFU restore, and all simular methods, going through device menue to restore to factory defaults, reinstalling the pangu jailbreak then restoreing. none of it works. the device is still fully functional as of its state at the time of jailbreak, but no apps can be installed or upgraded, and the ios over air upgrade cant be done. can someone please instruct some method that might work. Im desperate and running out of time.

    PLEASE HELP!!!
